1.不要過于個人化

雅思大作文題目的指導語提示考生可以根據個人經驗舉例（give examples based on your own experience）。雖然官方沒有對例子性質做出規(guī)定，但概括化的例子要比過于個人化的例子更穩(wěn)妥。舉例可以用自己觀察到的社會情況，而不是自己、家人或寵物的特定情況。我們可以通過把I換成people，實現(xiàn)更穩(wěn)妥的例子寫作，比如：

2.不要用編造的研究結果

編造研究結果是很多雅思考生常用的舉例方式，比如：

Firstly, there are physiological differences between men and women. Men are stronger which means that have an advantage when doing jobs which involve intense physical work men. For instance, recent research by the University of Cambridge shows that 90% of construction work is done by men.

這種做法不可取，特別是當為了舉例而舉例、造成編造的內容過于夸張、沒有說服力、沒能支撐論點時，考官會認為與題目無關，影響TR分數。

與其編造不靠譜的例子，不如用一些確實廣為人知的結論，用相對模糊、概括的表達寫出來，更準確穩(wěn)妥。上面的段落可以改為：
